The manner in which the object manoeuvred made me believe this wasn't some tethered balloon or advertising blimp as I had initially thought.
I used my a DSLR camera together with a 500mm tele-lens to capture the image. Weather condition was sunny and bright but smoggy in the distance.
I have since been to the Olympic site in Stratford in an effort to do some investigating; just to ask if anyone had seen anything; as I feel somebody must have seen something, especially the cab man controlling the crane (I would not have wanted to be in his shoes at the time). I was unable to gain access to speak to anybody.
I know its a little presumptuous calling the object I saw a UFO as there may be a logical explanation as to what this was. If anyone also witnessed this or has information as to what it was then I would be very grateful to hear from you.
The time of my sighting started just before 3pm and lasted about 13 minutes.
I lost sight of the object as it hovered very low not far from the stadium façade.
I can confirm that on several shots, there are also some dirt particles on the teleconverter that I used which has somehow transferred onto the image taken with it.
